Welcome to Melissa Roe's Photography blog site!! I'm glad you're stopping by and taking a look at my 1st attempt in blogging. This is also another way to explore opportunities in my photography business. I love, love, love taking photos and capturing that moment when you least expect it. My specialties are families, children, Seniors, bridals, engagements, & weddings. Of course a challenge along the way is something I'm up for any day of the week!

You may notice that I've posted personal events and moments that happen in my own life. This blog is meant for me to express how photography has changed my life and to show just how much I love snapping photo's of my family, a bride, or a special event, etc.

Enjoy your stay and be sure to leave a comment as to what you think or send me an email at melissaroephotography2010@yahoo.com....hope to hear from you!

Front Porch View

I do have to say how happy I am to be able to sit on my own front porch & repeat to myself, "Home sweet home"!!!!  It took almost one year to build our new home and I am so proud of my wonderful husband for doing such an amazing job!  Oh yeah, and "SHOUT-OUTS" to all the great help along the way.  We couldn't have done it without y'all.

So, today, during an LSU football game (vs. Tennessee and we WON!) well, really halftime...I decided to blow the dust off my camera and begin my photography journey again.  I've been slacking with photo's since I didn't have room to really be creative living with my in-laws, so now I'm ready to be photo sa-a-avy again!  I decided to take some snapshots outside, on my front porch of a beautiful sunset.  Here's the outcome:

The view from inside looking through the front doors.

....and from the wonderful front porch.

Spirit Day's @ School

Can you remember dressing up for themed days at school?  School days were so much fun...well, what I can remember now...but having days that you could show imagination and creativity was amazing.

I'm sharing my daughter's Spirit Day's from Jr. High and she had a blast dressing up, and so did I!!

 80's Spirit Day

She's 11 Years Old Now!!!

My baby girl is now 11 years old and I CAN NOT wrap my head around the idea of this happening!!  I know as a mom, we all say this, but time has just flown by and there is nothing we can do about it.  It's a love + hate kinda of thing I have with watching my only child grow up.  I love that fact she's becoming a young lady, but hate the fact she's not a baby any longer.

Happy 11th Birthday my "Doodle-bugs"!!!
